If observing the world, analyzing it, and taking what you learn from it was the same as inhaling in air then creating an artwork for me would be the same as taking a big exhale as I release the information that I obtained from the experiences in my environment. My goal as a visual artist is to create more than something for you to simply stare at, I create physical manifestations, thoughts and ideas that reside within my mind. My artwork actually makes you think, to cause the viewer second guess what they actually see before them in order to seek the true meaning that lies beneath the piece. 

In order to take plain old dots and lines, tie them together to give the illusion of shape, form, space, texture and create life on the page takes a lot of skill and patience which I’ve been blessed to possess. Ever since I was young I always felt like I viewed the world from a different perspective than those around me, which caused me to want to visually document what I saw and enable me to display the life that I see within everything and share it with others.
